Jerusalem, 4 February, 2026 (TPS-IL) — The IDF (Israel Defense Forces) together with the Shin Bet (Israel’s anti-terror General Security Service) attacked and killed earlier today (Wednesday) terrorist Ali Razaina, who served as commander of the Islamic Jihad terrorist organization’s northern Gaza Strip brigade. Razaina’s elimination, said the IDF, came in response to a violation of the ceasefire agreement that occured last night.
As part of his role, Razaina was responsible for the deployment of Hamas terrorists and the defense plan of the Northern Gaza Brigade in the Islamic Jihad. In addition, he was responsible for coordinating with the terrorist organization Hamas to promote and execute terrorist plans against IDF forces.
Throughout the war, Raziana was in charge of Israelis held hostage by Islamic Jihad in the northern Gaza Strip, and since the ceasefire agreement came into effect, he worked to rehabilitate the Northern Gaza Brigade.
